Answers to Common Concerns
Will my insurance cover any prescription medicine I purchase?
We won't know if your prescription is covered by your insurance until we create and submit your insurance claim to your insurance plan. After submission of your claim, we'll know within a few seconds if your prescription claim will be covered or rejected. Sometimes a claim may reject because your insurer believes you are refilling your medication too soon (outrageous!!! we feel the same as you), but our system will remind us to resubmit your claim on the day your plan allows. If you're unable to wait until your insurance-permitted refill date, we can dispense most prescriptions earlier if you'd like to pay out of pocket. Note that paying out of pocket for an early refill is non-refundable.
Can I buy generic brand prescriptions even though my doctor prescribed me a brand name medication?
Absolutely! We encourage you to fill generics. Generic medications contain the same active ingredient as their brand equivalents. Additionally, generic medications typically have more affordable co-payments.
Can I return my medications?
Unfortunately, it is against the law for us to accept medications that have left the pharmacy threshold, even for a brief time. It is your responsibility to review the medications you are picking up at the register; at that time you may inform the staff member ringing you up that you won't need a certain item that we prepared for you.
